Training

Boy Scouts of America offers many training opportunities for both youth and adults, all designed to help improve leadership skills and deliver a quality program.

Some of the courses available to youth are National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and Den Chief Training among many others.

There is also training available for adults, some of which is required such as Youth Protection Training and other courses that are Position-Specific as well as many more that can help adults run an effective Troop.

Many of the courses can be taken online at my.scouting.org. A log-in is required; however, anyone may create a user account and view the courses. Registered members of the BSA may provide their member numbers (as part of the user profile) to receive credit.

Other class may be taken in a classroom or outdoor setting.  See Patriot's Path Council website for a current list of locally available courses.
